ABOUT DR. GHIZ

"Patients ask me why I made orthodontics my career choice. I've always been good with my hands and enjoyed working with the public, so becoming a dentist seemed like the perfect career for me. While in dental school, I always knew that I wanted to specialize because I didn't enjoy 'routine' dentistry, but I wasn't certain in just what area of dentistry I wanted to specialize. The head of the orthodontics department at the West Virginia University School of Dentistry took me aside one day and told me that I should be an orthodontist, based on my accomplishments in his classes. Well, as you can tell, I took his advice and haven't been sorry since. I love being an orthodontist and I can't imagine being anything else."
